A HOME AWAY FROM HOME

At The HBCU National Center, we believe that a comfortable and supportive living environment is crucial for student success. Our housing program provides HBCU interns with safe, convenient, and fully-furnished accommodations in the heart of Washington, DC.

PRIME LOCATION

Our housing, known as “The Congressional,” is strategically located on Capitol Hill, just steps away from significant landmarks such as the U.S. Capitol and the Supreme Court. This prime location ensures that our interns have easy access to their internship sites and the vibrant cultural and professional opportunities the city has to offer.

COMMUNITY AND SUPPORT

Living at The Congressional means being part of a vibrant community of fellow HBCU scholars. Our interns benefit from a network of peers and mentors who provide academic, professional, and personal support. This communal living experience fosters collaboration, friendship, and a sense of belonging.

HOLISITIC DEVLOPMENT

Beyond just providing a place to stay, our living program is designed to support the holistic development of our interns. Regular workshops, networking events, and mentorship programs are organized to help students build their professional skills and connections.
